What we’ll do together

In our first few sessions I’ll introduce the Make the Product Shift methodology and sets the foundation for our partnership.
System Introduction: I’ll introduce the core concepts, including systems thinking, the four operational principles (Strategically Aligned, Value Driven, Outcome Focused, and Financially Impactful) and the 16 operational capabilities.
Define Your Target: We will co-create your custom High-Performing Product Team (HPPT) Statement, defining what product excellence looks like across the customer, business, culture, and approach factors in your unique context.
Programme Alignment: Together we will outline the structure for the remaining sessions, ensuring alignment with your specific goals and seniority level.

Once the approach is established, you will objectively assess your current state and we will design the strategic plan for your transformation.
Rigorous Assessment: You’ll conduct an honest assessment against the 16 operational capabilities to identify precisely where your organisation stands today.
Strategic Prioritisation: We will ruthlessly prioritise the capabilities into 'Improve,' 'Optimise,' and 'Sustain,' ensuring all your future efforts are concentrated where they will yield the highest return.
Leadership Focus: For organisational leaders, this phase also includes crucial work on setting the operational vision, understanding how to balance resources and incentives for change, and establishing the framework for Operational Working Groups to manage systematic transformation.

The majority of our time together is dedicated to supporting you in translating the prioritised plan into lasting organisational change.
Deep-Dive Sessions: All remaining sessions focus exclusively on the to 'Improve' or ‘Optimise’ capabilities identified in Phase 2. We work through the practices, processes, and behaviours required to execute the product shift in your organisation.
Optimising Rhythms: We will develop and embed the new operating rhythms. The rituals, cadences, collaboration patterns, and alignment mechanisms that ensure efficiency and flow.
Embedding Excellence: We will focus on practical, achievable changes that stick, ensuring your improvements are sustained and your product operating model becomes the default, reliable and high-impact force of your business.
This coaching follows a systematic methodology that is built on my proprietary approach, detailed in the forthcoming book, and codifies 16 operational capabilities.
