"Drama Therapy" Inspired Exercises
We will explore drama-based activities to break the ice and build empathy within the team. These exercises will encourage open communication and a deeper understanding of each other’s perspectives. This fun activity helps highlight the importance of clear communication and mutual respect.
Playing Cards with “Superpowers”
To make psychological safety tangible, we’ll use specially designed cards that highlight “superpowers” essential for a safe and productive team environment. Team members will receive cards featuring a superpower and will be able to use it in a team discussion.
Self-Reflection Exercises
Managing emotions and communicating boundaries are key to maintaining psychological safety. These exercises will help team members develop these crucial skills and create an artifact that can be used after the workshop for communicating with the broader team.
Small Group Discussions
Engaging in open discussions about current challenges is vital for building psychological safety. In rotating small groups, participants will discuss current psychological safety challenges, based on specific prompts, and collaboratively brainstorm solutions.

More Details.
When team members fear judgment, lack trust, or face dominating personalities, it creates a toxic environment that can hurt creativity and innovation.
By diving deep with companies and Product leaders on the topic of Psychological Safety, we've been uncovering the best practices and tools to address these issues.
Picture this: a team member hesitates to share a bold idea because they fear being judged or penalized. Or another keeps quiet because a dominating personality overshadows the meeting. These scenarios are all too common and can lead to reduced communication, lack of trust, and ineffective teamwork.
In an ideal world, Product Managers would lead teams where trust is the foundation. Clear expectations, open communication, and recognition of contributions are the norms. This is the environment where innovation in tech thrives, where calculated risks are encouraged, and where mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth.
But how do we get there? By cultivating a culture that values psychological safety. This means dismantling blame cultures, supporting risk-taking, and ensuring everyone’s voice is heard. It’s about creating a space where team members feel secure to express their ideas and concerns without fear of reprisal.
